Comprehensive Preventive care packages will be available 2018.  These pre-paid packages will be offered at a discount.


Dentistry

Oral exams should be performed yearly.  Young horses and senior citizens may need more frequent examinations.  Dr. Hillyer offers routine and corrective motorized dentistry.


Ophthalmology

Disease of the eye can heal very quickly, but they can also deteriorate quickly.  All abnormalities of the eye should be considered and emergency and examined immediately to assess the surface, inside, and surrounded structures of the eye.


Reproduction

The use of palpation and ultrasound helps Dr. Hillyer form a breeding plan for your mare.  Artificial insemination, treating uterine disease, and pregnancy diagnosis are some of the services provided.


Radiology

River Equine is happy to offer digital radiography.  All radiograph images are available immediately at the farm and easily delivered should a referral be needed.


Ultrasound

Ultrasound is an imaging modality used for equine reproduction and for diagnosis of tendon and ligament injuries in horses.  Dr. Hillyer also uses ultrasound as part of some colic exams.
